A very interesting discussion took place regarding the Roundhouse Capacity Campaign: Julie Wisson informed us that officers are working towards a solution to create additional places in time for September 2018. Appeals Process 26th June 2017

Appeals took place on Monday 26th June 2017. 10 families appealed to get a place at the Round House Primary Academy but all the appeals were unsuccessful due to the narrow criteria. Cambridgeshire County Council advised parents their only option was to appeal. We are disappointed their advice did not lead to places for our children but are encouraged they have committed to a solution for 2018 which will benefit 2017 intake too. Criteria taken from 'Schools Admissions Appeal Code' The panel must uphold the appeal at the first stage where: a) it finds that the admission arrangements did not comply with admissions law or had not been correctly and impartially applied, and the child would have been offered a place if the arrangements had complied or had been correctly and impartially applied; or b) it finds that the admission of additional children would not prejudice the provision of efficient education or efficient use of resources.
